Plant Pathology is the major discipline in Agriculture course. The department is functioning from the year 2016.Plant Pathology department offering six (6) courses with 14 credit hours for B.Sc (Hons) Ag students. The department is teaching Plant Pathology and Agricultural microbiology courses viz., AMBE-101, PATH-171 for first year students, PATH-271 for second year students, PATH-371, PATH-372, PATH-373 for third year students, RAWE programme and AELP module for final year students. The department teaches about the pathogen identification (Fungi, Bacteria, Viruses, Viriods, Phytoplasmas, Protozoa, Nematodes and Parasitic higher plants), Classification of plant pathogens, life cycle of plant pathogens, disease etiology, disease development and incidence, plant disease resistance, epidemiology, disease management and its economic impact.
